Mineral Bathing

The waters you bathe in at Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa come straight from the source — mineral-rich springs that have flowed through this region for thousands of years. These springs have long been recognised for their natural healing qualities. The Dja Dja Wurrung people, Traditional Owners of this land, were the first to use the waters for rest and healing.

Today, these same waters are used to support recovery, relaxation, and overall wellbeing. Naturally high in minerals like magnesium, calcium, silica and sulphur, they can help ease muscle tension, support skin health, and offer a moment of calm. When you step into the water, you’re connecting with a long tradition of care — grounded in nature and shaped by history.

Bathhouse Bathing is our social mineral bathing experience, offering shared access to two beautifully heated mineral pools. The larger pool features an underwater bench seat, allowing you to unwind while taking in serene, floor-to-ceiling views of the leafy banks of Spring Creek. The second pool is equipped with gentle spa jets, designed to softly massage and soothe your body as you relax.

Sanctuary Bathing offers a quieter, adults-only experience. It includes access to all Bathhouse pools, plus the Sanctuary area with the Aroma Steam Room, Magnesium Salt Pool, Spa Couches, Walk-In Cool Down Pool, Dry Sauna and a Hammam. This tranquil space invites you to unwind, rejuvenate, and immerse yourself in a more serene mineral bathing ritual.

Private Mineral Bathing in the Traditional baths or Premium baths are a more personal experience, with your own indoor bathing space filled with mineral water direct from the source. Options include the Mineral Milk Bath, known for its skin-softening qualities, you can choose from 4 different soak options to suit you taste.
